Despite strong finale ratings on Monday night from How I Met Your Mother, CBS still lost out to NBC in the advertiser-important demographic.
NBC claimed victory for the evening with a 3.2 rating in the 18-49 demo and 11.85 million viewers, reports HitFix. The Voice was down from the previous week with a 3.4 in the demo, while The Blacklist was strong with a 2.8 demo rating.
CBS took second with a 3.0 rating and 8.7 million viewers. HIMYM went out to both record highs in the demo and viewership with a 5.3 in the demo and 12.94 million viewers. Friends With Better Lives debuted following HIMYM and took in a 2.7 rating in the demo for a strong start. Mom was also up slightly to a 2.2 rating and Intelligence went out to a 1.2 in the demo, a slight boost over previous weeks.
ABC had strong audience numbers with 11.6 million, but only averaged a 1.8 in the 18-49 demo, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Dancing With the Stars fell to a season low with a 2.2 rating and Castle was a repeat.
Fox averaged a 1.4 in the demo and 4.9 million viewers, with Bones up over last week with a 1.5 rating. The Following stayed even with last week at a 1.4 in the demo.
The CW saw slight boosts for its two programs on the night, with the network averaging a 0.4 in the demo and 1.1 million viewers. Star-Crossed was up to a 0.4 in the demo and The Tomorrow People improved to a 0.5 rating.
