Though The Voice slipped, NBC still won Tuesday night, while Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't get a boost in the ratings from the recent release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
For the night, NBC took in a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 8.08 million viewers. The Voice fell to a 2.8 in the demo, which is a series low.HitFix reports About a Boy and Growing Up Fisher were both down on the night as well to a 1.8 and 1.5 rating, respectively. Chicago Fire improved slightly to a 1.9 in the demo.
CBS was a close second with a 2.0 rating, but had a much better overall audience with an average of 13.2 million tuning in. NCIS was up to a 2.6 in the demo, while NCIS: LA dipped to a 2.3 rating.
If ABC was hoping to see a boost to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s numbers after the theatrical release of The Winter Soldier, then the network was likely disappointed. The Marvel show slipped to a series low with a 1.7 in the demo, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Goldbergs ticked down to a 1.4 rating and Trophy Wife and dipped to a series low with a 0.8 rating.
Fox saw some improved numbers for the night, with the network averaging a 1.0 in the demo and 2.6 million viewers. Glee was up to a 1.0 in the demo and The Mindy Project was up to a 1.1 demo rating.
