Shows are starting to finish their seasons, with Scandal going out strong on Thursday night, while The Crazy Ones not so much.
ABC took the victory in the demo, with CBS largely taking the night off. The network averaged 7.32 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic, reports HitFix. First Grey's Anatomy was a repeat, while the second episode managed a 2.5 in the demo. Scandal topped all programs on the night and its season finale went out to a 3.4 in the demo, which is the second highest rating ever for the drama.
CBS followed behind with a 1.6 in the demo and a slightly stronger 7.37 million viewers. Two encores of The Big Bang Theory started off the night and Robin Williams The Crazy Ones finished out its season run to a low 1.5 in the demo. The show is one of the few on CBS to not have been already renewed and it doesn't look good for fans of the show.
While tying CBS in the advertiser-important 18-49 demo, Fox averaged a much lower 5.5 million viewers. Hell's Kitchen improved on the night, up to a 1.7 demo rating and American Idol ticked up to a 1.9 in the demo, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Not long for this world freshman show Surviving Jack fell on the night to a 1.0 rating.
Community finished its season run on par with the season's average with a 1.0 in the demo and Parks and Recreation slipped down to a 0.9 rating. Parenthood bowed for the season with a boosted 1.3 in the demo. NBC averaged a 1.0 in the demo and 3.3 million viewers.
