Rapper Wale got into a physical confrontation with a heckler on Monday night at a WWE event in Washington D.C. He punched a man when he wouldn’t stop taunting him at the Raw event.
When security saw the fight taking place, they escorted both parties outside into a hallway but they were both eventually allowed back into the event.
TMZ reports an onlooker said it was the rapper who punched the fan right in the face.
Wale actually spoke with MTV News about it, saying the heckler had been taunting him via Twitter.
"It was just a dude that was like, 'I'mma kick your ass. I better not see you here’ I was like, 'Yo, is this you?' And one thing lead to another, and I just kind of mushed him a little bit," he said.
"Honestly, if there wasn't kids right there, it would have went a little bit differently, but I just wanted to be conscious of them. It's not to say it was the right decision. But in the moment, you know,” he continued.
He also explained that people around him tell him that since he’s famous, he shouldn’t care about situations like that. "I care what people say because I try to be a man of the people,” he said.
