At 11 years of age, Lucy Li became the youngest person ever to qualify for the U.S. Women's Open on Monday.

Li qualified by winning at Half Moon Bay's Old Course in California with a 2-under par score between two rounds, ESPN reports. The first round she shot a 74 on the par-72 course and followed that up with a 68. The second-place qualifier, Kathleen Scavo, was seven strokes behind Li.

The previous record holder for youngest to qualify was Lexi Thompson, back in 2007. She was 12 years and nearly 5 months old. However, the youngest ever to actually play in the Women's Open was Beverly Klass back in 1967 at the age of 10 before players had to qualify.

According to the Los Angeles Times, despite her young age, Li already has several accomplishments in golf. She previously qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship match-play portion, but lost in the first round, and she also won her age bracket at the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship held at Augusta National.

The U.S. Women's Open is set to begin on June 19 at the Pinehurst Golf Resort in North Carolina.
