We open with Jack in agent Morgan’s custody. The marines do right over Kate’s head, though, and take Jack away from her. The marines can’t find the flight key. Kate has it in her possession, but lies that it may be lost in the debris after the marines blew the door open. As Kate walks away, she tells Chloe, through Jack’s ear piece, that she has the flight key.

Kate tells Ritter that she believes everything Jack has said so far, and that what he’s doing is for a reason. While in the car heading back to the CIA station, Chloe walks Kate through resuming the upload. When it’s done, Cross spots the override code hidden in the data. Chloe screen caps the override code so Kate can forward it to the CIA. Jordan calls over Navarro, and assures him that Tanner’s drone was hijacked.

Navarro gets President Heller on the line, and has Kate talk to him about what she just found. Kate tells the President what we all knew all along: Jack was right (which he usually is). Kate advises the President to take immediate action. When General Coburn orders the drones to be grounded, Margot sees that the ten she was about to take control over are changing course. She orders Naveed to start the override. Margot is able to gain control of only six, but once those six disappear from the radar, Heller realizes potentially what is to come. The President wants to speak to Jack, and is told by Boudreau that Jack is already on his way in.

Coburn informs Heller that if all six drones converged on London, that tens of thousands of people could be in jeopardy. The drones were also designed to be undetectable, even by the most sophisticated radars. Heller asks for a meeting with the British Prime minister to inform him of the impending attack.

Back at the CIA station, Navarro briefs his team that their focus is now to find Margot and her terrorist family. While Navarro is telling Kate that she’s completely done now after the marines filed a complaint about her, Jordan interrupts them when a video message from Margot appears online. She explains why she’s doing what she’s doing: in an attempt to kill her husband, 20-plus innocents, including children, were taken out in the drone strike. She demands that President Heller give himself up to her, or she’ll unleash the drones in her control on London.

Heller is shown footage of the drone strike Margot referred to in her message. It shows her crawling out of the wreckage, and the many dead bodies all around, including the children she mentioned. Heller is upset with Boudreau for not telling him that innocents were killed in the strike, but if Boudreau had mentioned anything, none of the drone funding likely would have come through. Heller knows that Margot knows that he’s not going to turn himself in, that the attacks are going to happen no matter what.

Heller and Jack finally come face to face for the first time this season, and in over four years in the 24 timeline. He tells Jack that six drones have gone missing. Jack sits there, almost stoic, with a kind of “I told you so” look on his face. Heller asks for Jack’s help, and Jack says there’s an arms dealer that he could talk to that might know where Margot is, that putting Jack back in the field, unrestricted, may be the only way this gets resolved. Yes!

But, no. Heller is hesitant, even when Jack says he’d be fine turning himself in once the situation is resolved. Jack won’t give Heller the name of the contact unless he’s aloud to do it his way. Heller still isn’t having any of that.

Naveed tells Margot that the first drone will be in London in 15 minutes. He asks to go be with Simone, and Margot complies. Naveed tells Simone that he planted a traceable signal in the video, and has left evidence of what’s already done and what he was planning on doing. Has this guy not learned to stop telling the daughter of the terrorist how he plans on backstabbing them? Jordan finds the planted signal and Navarro mobilizes a team instantly.

Audrey goes to see Jack. They’re both incredibly emotional. It’s not too often we see Jack this vulnerable, but the last time he saw Audrey, she was a vegetable. She starts talking about the Margot situation, but all Jack cares about is her; if she’s happy, if her husband treats her right, that kind of stuff. They almost hug, but Jack tells her she needs to leave, now.

Heller meets with the British Prime Minister. He tells him about the drones have been seized, and Davies is not happy about this at all. Heller does mention the plan to attack the estate on which Margot is believed to be on to try and brighten spirits.

Kate calls Chloe to ask about the video. Kate thinks that it was a little too easy to find that IP address and wants Chloe to look into it. Chloe says she can, but needs the original feed. Kate helps Chloe access the CIA servers. Cross isn’t happy that Chloe continues to help the people that keep trying to to shut them down, and he refuses to help Chloe any longer. Just after Navarro and his team arrive at the estate, Chloe finds evidence in the IP address that it’s a fake, and that the CIA is heading into a trap. Chloe calls Navarro, and a full abort is ordered. Just as the teams make it out of the house (most of them at least), Ian (Margot’s son) sends two drone missiles into the house, blowing it sky high.

Naveed begs for his life. Margot tells him that Ian piloted the drone just fine, and that Naveed won’t be needed any longer. Simone arrives in the doorway, but doesn’t dissuade her mother from shooting Naveed in the head.
