ABC has renewed Nashville for a third season.

E Online reports how ABC co-president announced on Twitter that Nashville would be coming back for a third season. Sherwood wrote, "Congratz and welcome back for Season 3 to @Nashville_ABC@conniebritton@CharlesEsten@CallieKhouri, the whole Nashville team and loyal fans."

In it's second season Nashville has been averaging 5.3 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic. The finale for the second season of Nashville airs on May 20. Along with Nashville, ABC has also renewed Scandal, Grey's Anatomy,Revenge, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Castle.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals how Modern Family, The Middle and The Goldbergss also received renewals from ABC. Other shows such as Trophy Wife were not as lucky. According to Us Weekly ABC canceled Trophy Wife after one season. The sitcom starred Malin Akerman, Marcia Gay Harden, and Bradley Whitford.

Akerman tweeted,"Thank u all for your loyalty and passion #TrophyWife fans. We had a blast! Sad to see it go but happy to have lifelong family out there. Xx"

Harden tweeted, "Thank u 4 watching beloved fans. Parting is such sweet sorrow...@TrophyWifeABC cancelled just hours ago."
