Actor Matthew Cowles, best known for his performance as Billy Clyde Tuggle on All My Children, has just been reported to have passed away. He was 69.
People reports that news of the actor's death was first circulated by his manager, Tsu Tsu Stanton, who tweeted the following on Friday:
#Matthew Cowles passed away on 5/22.I had the pleasure of being his manager. He was a very gifted and kind man who loved life and everyone.

Following this tweet, one of the show's writers, Jean Passanante, went on to also tweet her condolences:

Nominated for two Daytime Emmy nominations, Cowles is also known for his performances in films such as Shutter Island and Nurse Betty, as well as his work on other shows like The Bold and the Beautiful and Life on Mars.
He survives through his wife, The Good Wife star Christine Baranski and their two children. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cause of death is not available at this time.
