American Dream Builders host Nate Berkus and designer Jeremiah Brent tied the knot at the New York Public Library on Saturday. The couple made history as the first same-sex couple to get married at the famed venue.
Oprah Winfey, who gave Berkus his start, was on hand for the celebration and it was an OWN family affair as President of the network, Sheri Salata, officiated the nuptials.
According to People, Berkus, 42, and Brent, 29, got engaged last year while on vacation in Peru. Both of their families were among the 220 guests in attendance.
Berkus’ fabric line and pieces from his Target collection made the custom ceremony wall. Nathan Heinrich Design provided the flowers for the reception, while Swiss Cottage Designs provided the menus which guests were able to take home as a memento.
ABC News reports guests include Rachael Ray, Cougar Town star Busy Philipps, designer Rebecca Minkoff and more.
The reception was deejayed by DJ Mad Marj with a special performance of “American Boy” from Estele.
