Fox's American Idol will be back for a 14th season of the vocal competition. Fox made the announcement yesterday.
Idol will be arriving in 15 cities looking for the best musical talent. They will be holding auditions in Portland, Oreg., Columbus, Ohio, Kansas City, Mo., Richmond, Va., Albuquerque, N.M. ,The Hollywood Reporter added.
The show has experienced some ratings lows with the past few seasons and season twelve was highly criticized for judges conflicts that took center stage instead of the musical talent.
Fox News added that it remains to be season who will be the judges for this upcoming season of the show. Current judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. have not announced if they would be returning.
Lopez is set to star in a NBC drama which will go into production in 2015, so it is not clear if she could handle both schedules.
Deadline added that longtime host Ryan Seacrest is still in talks regarding if he will return to host the show or not.
