Andy Garcia has signed on to co-star in Max Steel, a new live-action film.

"We're ecstatic to be working with legendary actor Andy Garcia," Bill O'Dowd, the chief executive officer of Dolphin Films, said in a statement, according to UPI. "Dr. Miles Edwards is a very complicated character, and he is central to the entire mythology of Max Steel. The role requires a truly talented actor, and there is no one more qualified than Andy to tackle it."

Dr. Miles Edwards is brilliant scientist in this film. The movie is being handled by Dolphin Films International. Max Steel is written by Christopher Yost and directed by Stewart Hendler. Yost is known for his work on Thor: The Dark World. Hendler previously worked on Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. The movie is filming in North Carolina.
