After over a year of waiting impatiently, fans of Boy Meets World will finally get to catch up on the lives of Cory and Topanga. The Disney Channel has announced a premiere date for Girl Meets World.
The new series has been in development since at least November 2012. In it, Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) are married and share a pre-teen daughter, Riley (Rowan Blanchard). Other members of the cast include Sabrina Carpenter, Corey Fogelmanis, August Maturo and Peyton Meyer.
Disney released the first trailer for the series in April, getting fans of the original hit show even more excited for the sequel series. Several members of the original Boy Meets World cast will be making appearances throughout the new series.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Girl Meets World will finally start on the network on June 27 at 9:45 p.m., following the premiere of the movie Zapped!. A Boy Meets World marathon is set for June 15.
