Britney Spears’ former backup dancer is suing the pop singer for allegedly breaking her nose during a rehearsal for a music video.

Dawn Noel claims that while filming a music video for the song “Work Bitch” in Woodland Hills, Calif. on Aug. 19, 2013, Spears “twirled in an unbalanced and reckless manner, arms extended out to her sides and forcefully backhanded” her in the face, in a complaint received by E! Online.

Noel also pointed out that Spears seemed to be in a “disheveled and confused state” when she entered the shoot and that she was having difficulty picking up the dance moves.

After staying for another 30 minutes, Noel left to the doctor because the pain became worse. She learned that she had a nasal bone fracture and would need surgery, reports The NY Daily News.

Noel claims that Spears' reps and the Reign Deer Entertainment Company assured her that the medical bills would be paid, however, she was later told they would not be paid and in turn decided to file a lawsuit.

She is suing for physical damages of disfigurement to her nose and emotional damages of distress and anxiety.
