Actors Tina Fey and Spencer Breslin are celebrating their birthdays today.

Tina Fey, 44

Actress, comedian, writer and producer Tina Fey turns 44 today. Fey started her career with comedy. She was a featured player in the Chicago-based improvisational comedy group The Second City. She joined Saturday Night Live as a writer, and later became head writer and performer, best known as co-anchor in the Weekend Update segment. In 2004, she co-starred in and wrote the screenplay for Mean Girls, which was partly adapted from a book.

After leaving SNL in 2006, she created the television series 30 Rock, a comedy loosely based on her experiences at SNL. Fey portrays the head writer of a fictional sketch comedy series. In 2008, she starred in Baby Mama alongside former SNL co-star Amy Poehler. She then starred in Date Night alongside Steve Carell in 2010, and with Will Ferrell in the animated film Megamind.

Fey has received eight Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, five Screen Actors Guild Awards, four Writers Guild of America Awards and has been nominated for a Grammy Award for her autobiographical book Bossypants. In 2008, the Associated Press awarded Fey with the AP Entertainer of the Year award for her portrayal of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in a guest appearance on SNL.

Fey is married to composer, actor, director, and television producer Jeff Richmond, and have two children.

Spencer Breslin, 22

Actor and musician Spencer Breslin turns 22 today. Breslin was discovered in a playground in New York City at the age of three, and starred in commercials for McDonald's and Life cereal. He later guest starred on several shows including Law and Order, and appeared in the three-part miniseries, Stephen King's Storm of the Century. After a minor role in Meet the Parents, Breslin transitioned into film, starring alongside Bruce Willis in Disney's The Kid. Breslin won a Young Artist Award and was nominated for a Saturn Award for his role.

Breslin played Curtis the Elf in The Santa Clause 2: The Mrs. Clause, the first of four films in which he co-starred alongside Tim Allen. He appeared in the television films You Wish!, Ozzie, and Mom's on Strike. Breslin returned to the big screen starring alongside Dakota Fanning and Mike Meyers in The Cat in the Hat in 2003. Breslin appeared in numerous films alongside his younger sister, Abigail Breslin, including Raising Helen, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause and Perfect Sisters.

Breslin also appeared in the films Zoom, The Shaggy Dog, The Happening, Harold, Born to Race and Stuck in Love.

Breslin released his debut album in August 2012. He founded his own record label, Acadian Recording Company, and is currently working with the hard rock group Damus on their debut album.
