Following Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson’s anti-gay Easter sermon leaking, his son, Jase Robertson, is revealing he and his wife Missy were virgins on their wedding night.

Jase spoke to Fox 411 to promote his book Good Call: Reflections on Faith, Family, and Fowl and he said of remaining abstinent until marriage, “I’m proud of that.”

He explained, “That was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my entire life. What I did was when I started dating girls I would quickly tell them on the first date as soon as they got in the car. I’d say, ‘Look I will not treat you inappropriately at any point in our relationship.’ I had a couple get out of the vehicle!”

He went on to say that his wife was the first girl he dated that “loved that,” noting she felt “secure with me” because of it.

Meanwhile, Phil Robertson isn’t shying away from the comments that got him suspended from their A&E reality show briefly.

He said in the sermon that leaked, “Neither the sexually immoral, nor the idolators, nor adulterers nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves, nor greedy, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”
