E! is canceling Ross Mathews' Hello Ross talk show due to the upcoming departure of Chelsea Handler.
Radar Online exclusively reports how Hello Ross has been canceled after only two seasons. According to insiders the cancellation by E! comes after Handler had disputes with E!. Handler, who is a friend of Mathews' got him the talk show on E!, but since she is leaving the network, Mathews' has become a casualty as a result. The source says, "She’s the one who championed his show to go to air and produced it, so since she’s not renewing her contract with the network, E! is cutting all ties." Aside from having his own talk show Mathews' is part of E!'s team that does coverage for all the big award shows.
Even though Handler is leaving, Mathews is staying at E!, As previously reported, in April Mathews signed a two-year deal to remain at E!. Mathews started off his career as an intern for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and while there he earned the nickname
"Ross the Intern."
