Elin Nordegren is opening up about her current situation with her ex-husband, Tiger Woods, whom she divorced in 2010 and shares two children with.

The Swedish model and recent graduate opened up in an extensive interview with People for the first time since their rocky split four years ago.

Speaking from her home in Florida, Nordegren said, “I have moved on and I am in a good place. My relationship with Tiger is centered around our children and we are doing really good – we really are – and I am so happy that is the case. He is a great father."

Nordegren was a psychology major and a product of divorced parents, so she understands what it takes to recover from a split as tumultuous as theirs was. In 2009, a string of women came forward to admit affairs Woods had on his then-wife.

“In the beginning, you tamp down the animosity for the kids' sake. I'm not going to deny that I went through the wringer. But I don't think I doubted we'd end up here. That was always my dream, that the kids can have two loving parents that show respect for each other. And I feel that's what they have,” she said.

Nordegren and Woods share a 6-year-old daughter, Sam, and 5-year-old son, Charlie. Woods is currently dating Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn.
