The 4th annual Critic’s Choice Television Awards nominees were announced today via the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA). The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on The CW Thursday, June 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The event will be hosted by Cedric the Entertainer.
FX has the most nominations at 19, with HBO following slightly behind with 18 nominations.
CBS’s The Big Bang Theory and The Good Wife, FX’s Fargo, Showtime’s Masters of Sex and HBO’s The Normal Heart each hold five nominations apiece, while FX’s The Americans, AMC’s Breaking Bad, Netflix’s Orange is the New Black and PBS’s Sherlock managed to wrangle four nominations apiece.
“As television journalist, BTJA members live and breathe TV, and we’re excited to share our top picks from an immensely rich and diverse year of programming,” said BTJA president Joey Berlin, The Hollywood Reporter reports. “2014 has been a successful year for cable and broadcast as well as content on platforms such as Netflix and Hulu, and we look forward to celebrating all of these amazing shows and performances on June 19.”
