Following shocking footage of Solange Knowles attacking her brother-in-law Jay Z in an elevator after a Met Gala after party at the Standard Hotel last week leaked, sources say tension between the two has existed for years.
Insiders even say the source of Solange’s massive lash out at the “Holy Grail” rapper wasn’t even over that serious of an issue.
Sources told Fox News it’s “no great surprise” that Solange was seen kicking, punching and screaming at Jay Z because they’ve had other altercations over the years and usually over a misunderstanding.
Those close to their relationship also say Jay Z is protective over his wife, Beyonce, and that’s where the fights play into the picture.
Solange got rid of all pictures on her Instagram page that feature her older sister, Beyonce, so that leads to speculation something bigger did go on between the trio.
After the incident, Beyonce posted a quote to Instagram that read, “Lord, l lift up every one of my relationships to you and ask You to bless them… Help me to choose friends wisely so I won’t be led astray… Give me discernment and strength to separate myself from anyone who is not a good influence. I release my relationships to you and pray that your will be done with each and every one of them.”
