Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly, who is undergoing treatment for sinus cancer, has updated his fans on his treatment and current status through a video message.

NBC Sports noted that his wife, Jill Kelly, posted the video on Facebook.

“Hello everyone. I’m just getting ready to go to my 19th treatment for radiation and I’ve already had two bouts of chemo. Keep those prayers coming, I sure need them. Without you I wouldn’t be able to get through this. God bless you. Look forward to the Bills’ draft on May 8th,” he said.

The Hall of Famer announced his bout with cancer in June and started receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatments last month.

The Associated Press reported that Kelly’s brother has said that despite undergoing treatments, his brother has interest in bidding to buy the Bills franchise.

Kelly, who retired in 1996 after 11 seasons with the team, would like to see the franchise remain in Buffalo.

The 54-year-old is still the most successful QB in Bills history with a passing record of 35,467 yards and 237 touchdowns. In addition, he led the team to four straight Super Bowl appearances and six divisional championships.
