Joaquin Phoenix will star in director Woody Allen’s next film.

Deadline reported that no plot details or even a title are currently available.

While Allen is prepping for this new Phoenix-starring film, he also has a film coming out on July 25, according to Indiewire. This film, Magic In The Moonlight, takes place in Jazz Age France and stars Colin Firth and Emma Stone.

Phoenix, who is repped by WME, can be seen in several upcoming films. First comes James Gray’s The Immigrant, co-starring Jeremy Renner and Marion Cotillard, set for a release sometime this year. He will then be seen in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Inherent Vice, which will be released on December 12.

Woody Allen has been deeply engrossed in controversy this year, as TheCelebrityCafe.com noted. In February, his estranged adopted daughter Dylan Farrow accused him of sexually abusing her. A heated battle in the press ensued between involved parties, including Dylan Farrow, Mia Farrow and Allen himself.

In the meantime, Allen can also be seen in Fading Gigolo with John Turturro, which is in theaters now.
