ABC is ready to launch their latest singing competition Rising Star and they have some big names in the music industry ready to serve as judges for the show. Rising Star will feature country musician, Brad Paisley, Kesha and Ludacris. The show will be hosted by Josh Groban.
Billboard reported that Kesha, Paisley and Ludacris will be doing very similar roles to that of the American Idol judges. The musicians will offer feedback regarding each contestant and their performance, America will then get to chose who stays in the competition and who goes home.
Entertainment Weekly added that Rising Star will have each vocalist singing in front of a large video wall and viewers will be voting for their performances in real time while the performance is going on.
This will be the first public appearance and job for Kesha following her time in rehab for an eating disorder. Paisley is currently working on his latest album and a world tour in support of Moonshine In the Trunk. Ludacris will be hosting the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday taking place at the MGM in Las Vegas.
