Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly set to get married next weekend in Florence, Italy, at least according to an official there.
Elisa Di Lupo, a spokeswoman at the city’s mayor’s office told the Associated Press that their marriage is set for May 24 at the Belvedere Fort. The reality star and her rapper fiance rented the 16th century fort, near the Boboli Gardens, for 300,000 euros ($410,000). A Protestant minister has been picked to preside over the ceremony.
Despite all those details from Di Lupo, Kardashian and West have yet to confirm their plans, notes The BBC.
It’s not entirely surprising that the couple would pick Florence as the location for their wedding. As previously reported, West told Italy’s La Nazione magazine that they “love Italy and the Italian lifestyle.” He said that their daughter, North, was conceived in Italy and that they spent their “first honeymoon” there.
It’s also been reported that they have started flying guests in to Florence.
Kardashian and West had previously set their eyes on Paris for their wedding. This will be West’s first marriage, but Kardashian’s third. She was previously married to Damon Thomas from 2000-2003 and then Kris Humphries for 27 days in 2011.
