Actor Matthew Cowles, known for his portrayal of villain billy Clyde Tuggle on the ABC Soap Opera All My Children passed away at the age of 69.
Cowles' manager Tsu Tsu Stantoon confirmed the sad news to The Hollywood Reporter that the actor died Thursday at his home. The cause of death has not been released.
According to E! News, he is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christin Baranksi, and their two daughters, Isabel and Lily.
Tsu Tsu Stanton took to Twitter on Friday to confirm his death.
“He was a very gifted and kind man who loved life and everyone,” she wrote.
Jean Passanante, a former writer of the popular soap opera, also tweeted her condolences on Sunday.

The born-and-raised New Yorker possessed an extensive stage and screen resume. Some of his Broadway roles include Malcolm (1966), The Time of Your Life(1969) and Sweet Bird of Youth (1975). He also appeared on screen in Miami Vice (1985) and Law and Order (1991).
