Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is now a great-grandfather. His 21-year-old granddaughter Assisi Jagger has had a baby girl.

Assisi is the daughter of Jade, 42. According to Hello Magazine, the father of Assisi’s baby is her 25-year-old boyfriend, chef Alex Key. The magazine did not report the baby’s name.

Assisi told Hello that it is common in the Jagger family for women to have children early. After all, Jade was only 20 when Assisi was born. “The women in our family just tend to have children young, it runs in the genes,” Assisi explained.

According to The Daily Mail, Jade has another child, Amba, 17, with Piers Jackson. Jade is married to designer Adrian Fillary and they are currently expecting a child themselves.

“She'll be a perfect mum,” Jade told Hello of her daughter. “Assisi is a level-headed, sweet girl and I think it will give them both a lot of pleasure. It gives you an amazing purpose in life, to fulfil nature's destiny.”

Assisi added that she doesn’t plan on calling her famous grandfather “great-grandpa,” as she usually calls him Mick. “I imagine it's nice to be a great-grandad – although I'm not sure he likes the idea of getting old, or being called one,” she said.

Jagger, 70, has seven children and four grandchildren, so Assisi’s baby probably isn’t going to be his last great-grandchild. He is set to take the stage on May 26 in Norway, which will be the Rolling Stones’ first show since the death of his longtime girlfriend, L’wren Scott.
