A crazed Miley Cyrus fan from Arizona who allegedly believes that she is communicating to him through her hit songs, has been ordered to stay away from the singer.
Devon Meek of Sierra Vista, Arizona was arrested by Los Angeles police back on May 16 and placed in a psychiatric hospital, reports The Associated Press.
The 24-year-old Meek, who is still at the hospital, has told authorities that he will still try to seek out the “Wrecking Ball” singer even after he is released. Detective Rosibel Smith said that Meek had told them he should be shot if he couldn’t see Cyrus.
Cyrus’ attorneys then filed court documents seeking a temporary restraining order, which a Los Angeles judge granted on Friday.
Meek was arrested outside a home that he believed was owned by Cyrus, but the documents do not confirm if he was at the right property.
According to TMZ, the documents show that Meek told police that he thinks Cyrus “adores” him, a possible reference to Cyrus’ hit “Adore You.”
Meek was ordered to stay 100 yards from Cyrus. There will be a hearing on June 16 to decide if the restraining order should be extended.
