The NBA will name a CEO for to run the Los Angeles Clippers organization.

The Wrap reports how the NBA announced on April 3rd, that they would be naming a new CEO to be in charge of the operations for the Los Angeles Clippers. This comes after Clippers owner Donald Sterling received a lifetime ban from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. Mike Bass, NBA EVP of Communications stated, "The best way to ensure the stability of the team during this difficult situation is to move quickly and install a CEO to oversee the Clippers organization. he process of identifying that individual is underway." Along with the lifetime ban Sterling was fined $2.5 million by the NBA after audio recordings of him making racist remarks became public. As part of the lifetime ban Sterling cannot be involved in any decisions for the Clippers or step foot on any of the Clippers property. The NBA will also be selling t-shirts with the phrase "We Are One". The Clippers took on the phrase after Sterling's punishment was announced. Profits from the from the t-shirts will go to anti-discrimination campaigns

ESPN reveals how Sterling's wife Shelly Sterling, who is a co-owner of the Clippers supports the NBA's decision. Sterling says, "I spoke with Commissioner Adam Silver this week to tell him that I fully supported his recent swift and decisive action." Sterling added that she is completely committed to do whatever it takes to ensure that the Clippers are the best team in the NBA.
