Twilight star, Nikki Reed has filed for divorce from her husband Paul McDonald.
UPI reported that Reed filed for the divorce following a two month separation from her husband.
Reed's representatives has released a statement saying that the couple remains close friends and are looking forward to their new life journey together.
The young actress filed the papers which cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason why McDonald and Reed would be breaking up.
McDonald and Reed had been married for two years before their separation back in March the couple announced their separation saying that they had been "living separately for the past six months due to work obligations."
The Daily Mail added that McDonald is well known for being a past American Idol contestant.
A variety of sources have added that Reed was seen with Dancing With The Stars dancer Derek Hough. Reed has not confirmed that she has been seeing Hough but she was seen on set during the finale of Dancing With The Stars.
