Despite being one of the most recognized royals in the world, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, flew coach back to the UK after his friend Guy Pelly’s weekend wedding in Memphis, Tennessee.
He was seen chatting with fellow American Airlines passengers on a flight from Memphis to Dallas, Texas, where he then took a connecting flight to the UK.
U.S. journalist Eli Ross happened to be on the same flight and tweeted a photo of the royal from behind, writing, “I am still amazed #Prince William flies COACH. That's pretty humble/awesome. Who knew?”

Ross, who is a reporter for Memphis’ Local 24 News and CW 30 News, was covering Pelly’s wedding to Holiday Inn heir Lizzy Wilson.
According to Daily Mail, this isn’t the first time he’s flown coach to attend a wedding, as it’s said to keep the cost down for his security detail.
Back in 2011, he and his wife, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, were seen flying coach after Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall’s wedding in Edinburgh.
