This Tuesday, Rapper Gucci Mane pleaded guilty to a gun charge in Atlanta.

Gucci Mane, originally named Radric Davis, is 34 years-old. There has already been a recommendation on his sentencing. Prosecutors are currently recommending that Davis be sentenced to serve three years and three months in prison.

"The most important thing that took place today is that he accepted responsibility and is ready to move on," attorney Drew Findling said, according to the Associated Press. "He's positive about his music, but most importantly, he's really just ready to take control of his life."

His sentencing is scheduled for July, according to TMZ. This isn’t his first brush with the law. Davis was charged with murder in 2005, though the charges were dropped to due to lack of evidence. He also violated probation after serving a year-long county jail sentence.

The rapper is known for his albums, The Appeal: Georgia’s Most Wanted, Trap House, and The State vs. Radric Davis II: The Caged Bird Sings. The rapper is the founder and CEO of 1017 Brick Squad Records.
