Rihanna is getting some backlash for making fun of one of her fans for wearing an outfit inspired by one she wore on the red carpet to her Hollywood-themed prom.

The hashtag “#prombat” made its rounds after a photo of what 16-year-old Alexis Carter wore to prom circulated social media accounts. Much to her horror, the “We Found Love” singer joined in on poking fun of her in two tweets that have since been deleted.

Rihanna posted a photo of herself in the outfit side-by-side with Carter’s outfit, which featured batwing-inspired sleeves. The Barbados-born singer wrote “IG” underneath her picture and “Real Life” under Carter’s. She then posted a photo of Carter next to the Wu-Tang clan sign and wrote “she gets it.”

"I was very offended," Carter told Fox Baltimore. "Why throw shade on it when you had on the exact same thing. The poses was different but the outfit wasn't."

Carter even said the outfit was a hit at the prom, so she was surprised at the extent of the cyberbullying over it.

"Everybody was saying, 'Oh my god, I love it, it looks nice your body looks good it's different,’” she said. "She don't love her fans like she says she does," she also said of Rihanna.
