Robert Kardashian is responding to comments being made in various media outlets about his weight following paparazzi shots that were released of the reality star in the airport heading to Paris for his sister Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kanye West this weekend.
The only male family member of the Kardashians has been open about gaining more than 50 pounds in recent years, something that’s been touched on on their family’s E! reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians. He’s mostly stayed out of the public eye until just a few days ago when he arrived at the airport.
He took to Twitter on Tuesday to write, “so i found out i was trending for being fat... thank you all it really made my day :).”
He continued, “and to the blogs saying i went to fat camp or rehab LOL then why am i still fat u fools?? y'all must have run out of real news. first, i don't believe in rehab or therapy or anything of that sort and second I'm a grown man and will work on myself when i choose.”
Kardashian went on to say he’s “aware that I'm fat that def aint a surprise to me lol and my only therapy will be in the gym anyways had to say somethingggggggggg.”
His protective older sister, Khloe Kardashian, defended him on her own Twitter page and called those criticizing his weight “shallow souls.” She also reminded people their words could possible leave “lifetime scars” on her brother.
Kardashian started gaining weight when he went through a bad breakup with British singer Rita Ora and it has spiraled out of control ever since.
