Actress and designer Sarah Jessica Parker took part in a charity event to promote President Barack Obama’s arts program on Tuesday in Washington.

According to the Daily Mail, the Sex and the City star danced and sang for Michelle Obama to benefit Turnaround Arts.

The 49-year-old fashionista did a rendition of Annie's "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.”

The New York Daily News noted that Parker performed with middle school students from Martin Luther King Jr. School in Portland, Oregon, the school she adopted as part of the program.

"The school has been in a sort of amazing essence reborn. The hallways and the entire building are brimming with a renewed pride," said Parker.

The First Lady hosted the talent show in the East Room of the White House.

Turnaround Arts Program is a public-private partnership that uses arts education to help narrow the achievement gap at America’s struggling schools and improve the culture and climate in the highest poverty schools.
