E! Online reports the Scandal star is one of the most private actresses in Hollywood, so it was no surprise that she was able to keep the birth of her first baby under wraps for almost two weeks. She gave birth to baby Isabelle at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
She even married Asomugha in secret last year, with the media only finding out a month later.
She has previously talked to Glamour about why she puts such an effort into being secretive, saying "I have girlfriends in this business who talk about their personal lives, and it works for them, and I love it. But not for me.
I learned through experience that it doesn't work for me to talk about my personal life. I've had earlier times in mycareer when I did talk about it. I was on the cover of a bridal magazine, but I couldn't just turn around and say, 'I only want to talk about the good stuff, but not the bad stuff.' So I just thought, 'OK, no more.'"
