Kerry Washington of Scandal states that she is "'filled with gratitude' on Mother's Day.
Us Weekly reveals how Washington posted a message on Twitter saying, "Well…I still wont talk about my personal life on here But...I see your tweets. And I am filled with gratitude! XO #HappyMothersDay."
Washington, who is a very private person, secretly got married to football player Nnamdi Asomugha last year. Last October it was reported that after getting tying Washington was pregnant with her first child.
People reported earlier this month that Washington gave birth to a daughter named Isabelle Amarachi on April 21. This is Washington's first child with her husband. In an interview last year with Glamour, Washington spoke about why she doesn't talk about her personal life.
Washington said, "I learned through experience that it doesn’t work for me to talk about my personal life. I’ve had earlier times in my career when I did talk about it." Washington added that she only wanted to talk about the positive things going on in her life not the negative ones.
