Shelly Sterling, the wife of Donald Sterling wants to retain her ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Hollywood Reporter reports how through a family trust Sterling along with her husband Donald, owns 50% of the Clippers and feels that she should be able to keep her ownership despite the NBA banning her husband for life. Donald Sterling was banned for life from the NBA after racial remarks he made became public and the NBA is attempting to get Sterling to sell the Clippers. Mrs. Sterling's lawyer Pierce O'Donnell states, "She has a voluntary property right, and she won't submit to an involuntary disposition of the team." NBA Commissioner Adam Silver explained that the lifetime ban only applied to Donald Sterling and that the NBA had yet to make a verdict on whether or not the whole Sterling family should be banned.

It was previously reported about how the NBA is designating a CEO for the Clippers. Mrs. Sterling said that she was supportive of the league's decision and would do whatever it took to make the Clippers the best team in the NBA.
