Actress Stacey Dash, who starred in the cultural milestone Clueless, has joined Fox News as the network’s newest contributor.
The network made the official announcement on Wednesday. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dash, 47, will contribute commentary during primetime and will appear on other shows during the day.
“Stacey is an engaging conversationalist whose distinctive viewpoints amongst her Hollywood peers have spawned national debates – we’re pleased to have her join Fox News,” network executive VP of news, Bill Shine said in a statement.
Dash has become known for her conservative views, which clash with the most common ideals in Hollywood. Back in October 2012, Dash openly supported Mitt Romney on Twitter and received backlash for it. She then went on Piers Morgan Tonight to defend her right to support the candidate she believes in.
Dash is best known for starring in 1995’s Clueless with Alicia Silverstone. According to Variety, she also appeared in the films Rennaisance Man and View from the Top. She also appeared on TV in Single Ladies and The Game.
