In celebration of the sci-fi franchise holiday and delightful pun May the fourth (be with you), better known as Star Wars Day, Lucasfilm and Disney have released a sixty-second trailer for Star Wars: Rebels, a new CGI animated series premiering on Disney Channel this fall.

Rebels will be set during the series' Rebellion era, the period of the Episodes four through six. It follows the adventures of a team of street-smart rebels, including a "cowboy Jedi", and their Millenium Falcon-esque ship.

The series will be directed and executive produced by Dave Filoni, who is known for his work on the other Star Wars animated TV series, The Clone Wars, the LA Times reports. According to Filoni, Rebels will more closely resemble the look and feel of the original trilogy with its emphasis on fast-paced action and character-driven stories. After the series premiere on Disney Channel, it will air on Disney XD.
