MTV is going through changes in programming, and it looks like Susanne Daniels will be bringing to television more of the shows that viewers love to watch.

Daniels has been the head of programming at MTV since 2012 and was the driving force behind MTV’s The Real World, MTV’s longest running series. According to the Associated Press, MTV president Stephen Friedman said of Daniels’ work, “Susanne brings a gravitas in terms of bringing out a story, whether it's in our reality shows or scripted programming, that pushes the team to a new level."

Daniels said that she was able to re-energize the show, The Real World by successfully launching Real World Ex-Plosion. She announced that she picked up the cyber thriller, Eye Candy, in an effort to create MTV’s version of CSI, according to the The Hollywood Reporter.

Other reality shows like Catfish are getting attention, and Awkward and Teen Wolf are keeping audiences interested in MTV’s programming. Meanwhile, shows available via streaming video have increased viewership. Audiences are streaming Teen Wolf more than ever, making it their highest rated show. It was streamed digitally more than 58 million times.
