NFL Draftee Teddy Bridgewater kept a promise and surprised his mother, Rose Murphy, with a pink Cadillac Escalade.

ABC noted that when he was in the third grade, Bridgewater told Murphy that he was going to buy her a car when he made it big.

“When I make it to the NFL, I’m going to buy you a pink Cadillac Escalade with pink rims,” he recalled telling his mother.

Now, the former University of Louisville quarterback, has fulfilled that promise.

Bridgewater, who is considered to be one of the top prospects in the upcoming 2014 NFL Draft, said that his mother had a huge influence on him and his journey to where he is today.

The 21-year-old's story, about looking after Murphy when she was battling breast cancer, was chronicled in a seven-and-a-half minute documentary by director, Spike Lee, titled A #Promise2Rose,. It also captures the touching moment when he surprises her with the car.

As the Bleacher Report pointed out, the colors of the vehicle not only honor Murphy’s first name, but also represent her brave fight against breast cancer.
