If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. That appears to be the logic behind The CW’s Fall 2014 schedule. The network only has two new shows debuting in the fall and many continuing shows will air at the same night that they did during the 2013-2014 season.
The Originals, a spin-off from The Vampire Diaries, is the only returning show that will be moved. As Zap2It notes, the show has been moved to Mondays. It will act as the lead-in to Jane the Virgin, which is based on a Venezuelan telenovela. The title character is a 17-year-old girl who becomes pregnant thanks to an artificial insemination mistake.
For anyone hoping for an all-DC Comics superhero night, The CW had different plans. The Flash will air on Tuesdays, while Arrow will stay on Wednesdays.
Thursday’s schedule also looks familiar, with The Vampire Diaries and Reign.
Beauty and the Beast, Hart of Dixie, iZombie and The Messengers will start in midseason.
