Resurrection has suffered in the TV ratings since its strong premiere, but the show managed to bow out steady on Sunday night while The Simpsons enjoyed a ratings boost thanks to its Lego episode.
Sunday night went to ABC, which managed a 1.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a weak 6.45 million viewers, reports HitFix. America's Funniest Home Videos started off the night strong with a 1.6 in the demo, followed the first season finale of Resurrection which managed to stop dropping and hold strong with a 2.0 demo rating. Once Upon a Time dipped to 2.0 rating, while Revenge closed the night steady with a 1.3 in the demo.
Fox followed close behind in the demo with a 1.6 rating, but had a tiny average audience of 3.6 million viewers. A Lego episode of The Simpsons boosted the long-running animated comedy back up to a 1.9 in the demo, while Bob's Burgers stayed even with a 1.1 rating. American Dad also was even on the night with a 1.3 in the demo, while Cosmo managed to improve to a 1.4 rating.
Despite a low 1.3 in the advertiser-important 18-49 demo, CBS had the best overall audience with 8.99 million viewers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 60 Minutes started off the evening dipping to a 1.0, while The Amazing Race followed the downward trajectory to a 1.7 rating. The Good Wife and The Mentalist both managed to tie series lows with a 1.2 in the demo. THR notes that this Sunday was not a good night to struggle with upfronts coming and the show still seeking a renewal.
NBC took in a 0.9 in the demo and 3.6 million viewers. American Dream Builders dipped to a 0.5 in the demo, while the other three shows on the night, Dateline, Believe and Crisis, were the same in the demo with a 1.0 rating.
