Will Yun Lee has joined the cast of HBO's surprisingly long-running True Blood for its final season in a major recurring role, it was announced on Friday.

According to Deadline, Lee's character in the seventh season is named Mr. Gus, and he is described as an eccentric Japanese businessman who dresses like a cowboy and lives in Texas. In the series, Gus is a man who won't be stopped as he seeks to extract revenge.

Lee is a rising actor and was most recently in the 2013 film The Wolverine where he was opposite star Hugh Jackman. He's previously appeared in Four Assassins, Total Recall and Red Dawn. In addition to True Blood, Lee has signed on for a role in the Melissa McCarthy comedy film Spy and will take the lead in the Korean film Cobu.

As previously reported, True Blood's final season is set to premiere on June 22. In late April, HBO released a teaser clip of the upcoming season where Sookie narrates how the town has taken a turn for the worse.
