The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 41st annual Daytime Emmy Awards. CBS was the top network with 61, leaving the other main broadcast networks in the dust. Soap operas The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful and General Hospital were the most nominated shows.

Despite earning 16 nominations, ABC’s General Hospital failed to score a nomination in the main Outstanding Drama Series category. The Young and the Restless, which scored 26 total nominations, and The Bold and the Beautiful were both nominated for Outstanding Drama Series. Bold and the Beautiful’s nomination total is at 18.

The other nominees in the top drama category are NBC’s Days of Our Lives and TOLN.com’s One Life to Live reboot.

The NATAS is also honoring new approaches to daytime drama, honoring the online shows DeVanity, Tainted Dreams, The Power Inside and Venice the Series with nominations for Outstanding New Approaches – Drama Series.

Dino Dan, The Fresh Beat Band and Yo Gabba Gabba! will go up against Sesame Street for Outstanding Pre-School Children’s Series. The nominees for Outstanding Children’s Series are Animal Science, CBS’ Came Changers with Kevin Frazier, Hub’s R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour and Sea Rescue.

The nominees for Outstanding Pre-School Animated show include Curious George, Disney Sofia The First, Peg + Cat and The Wonder Pets!. Beware The Batman - “Secrets” is up for Outstanding Children’s Animated Program, along with The Fairly OddParents, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and Monsters Vs. Aliens.
