Eddie Redmayne, the 32-year old British actor, is officially engaged to his girlfriend of two years, Hannah Bagshawe.
Redmayne proposed during a vacation for Memorial Day weekend, his rep confirmed to Us Weekly and ABC News.
“He had been planning on it for a while,” a source told Us Weekly magazine.
“They have a very relaxed and supportive relationship...they seemed to have always known they were going to spend the rest of their lives together.”
The couple have been together since 2012 and share a home in London. According to a second source, Redmayne even asked her father’s permission for her hand in marriage. The couple has remained stronger than ever throughout his success in his career.
Redmayne, who acted alongside Anne Hathaway in Les Miserables, will be seen next in Jupiter Ascending starring Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum in July.
Still no word on any further wedding plans, but according to the second source, “she’s been a part of the family for years now.”
