When a rehab confidante betrays Alison and threatens to expose the truth about Aynsley’s death, she goes into free fall on the eve of Family Day. With Donnie and the kids set to visit, it’s all clones on deck to contain the fallout.
Sarah’s Plot Line
Sarah has teamed up with Mrs. S to move Dr. Ethan Duncan to a safe house. While leaving, he takes the contents of a red tin box with him. The contents are very important because they have something to do with project Leda. At the same time, Sarah agrees to meet up with Cal because he reveals that he has been hacked by Dyad. In the end, Sarah takes Kira away from Cal.
Cosima’s Plot Line
Cosima and Delphine began healing Cosima with the stem cell treatment. Cosima finds out that Delphine has been working with Dr. Leekie in order to heal her. The two have not revealed all of their intentions. Dr. Leekie and Delphine have decided to use Kira’s stem cells to cure Cosima of her ailment. After finding out all of this, Cosima kicks Delphine out of her lab. Cosima realizes she needs Kira, so she asks Sarah to get a tooth from the girl.
Alison’s Plot Line
Vic and Alison have grown closer while in rehab. Alison reveals that she had let Aynsley die. Then she eavesdrops on Vic while trying to return his gloves and finds out that Vic is working for Angela (Art’s partner). Alison calls Felix and he comes to help her with the Vic issue. Vic wants to see Sarah. So Felix gets Sarah to come to the rehab center and Sarah rejects Vic before he falls from being drugged by Felix. With all of this going on, Angela comes to rehab looking for Vic.
At the same time, Sarah portrays Alison because she is required to give a speech for family day at the center. The real Alison helps Felix “hide” Vic’s body. However, Donnie follows the real Alison and also sees the fake Alison. The real Alison decides to reveal that she knows that Donnie is the monitor but Donnie has no idea what she means. We learn that Donnie was not the monitor at all.
The Wrap Up
Rachel’s boss, Marian, learns from Dr. Leekie that Sarah has found Dr. Ethan Duncan. Mrs. S agrees to trade the doctor for Kira’s protection. Then, Rachel and Paul go to Mrs. S and meet Dr. Duncan and seal the deal. However, Rachel confronts Dr. Leekie after learning that this was a plot. Mrs. S played Leekie and Rachel against one another.
After learning this, Marian wants Leekie dead but Rachel decided to let him go because she cares about him. Dr. Leekie leaves but he is followed by Donnie. Then Donnie confronts Leekie with a gun and decides to let him go. However, Donnie accidently kills Dr. Leekie in his car.
Review
This was the best episode featuring Alison this season. At this point, the show has at least ten or more cast members we should know. Killing Dr. Leekie, to me, means nothing to the grand scheme of things. This season he had very little impact or purpose to the main plot of the show. It changes nothing. The introduction of Marian or Marion really makes Rachel seem weak to me. I always thought that she was really in charge but she is just a middle-man working for someone we don’t know yet. At this point, I can’t say that this season is better than the first but it is leading to a bigger finale though. I really enjoy this season and can’t wait for more. Orphan Black airs on BBC America.
