Businesswoman and former talk show host Bethenny Frankel's year-long custody battle with ex-husband Jason Hoppy has finally been settled.

Frankel and Hoppy ended their marriage in December 2012 and have been fighting over custody of their four-year-old daughter Bryn since then, according to PEOPLE.

The terms of the couple's settlement have not been made public. However, according to E! Online, Frankel hoped for primary custody, while Hoppy wanted shared custody of their daughter.

During the couple's May 28 court appearance in New York, Frankel testified against Hoppy claiming that he threatened to "destroy her" after Frankel told him she wanted a divorce. Frankel was in tears throughout the proceedings while the two argued.

According to E! Online, Hoppy's team countered her claim by stating that Frankel "used their child as a prop...in the pursuit of her own career and her own brand."

After more than a year long battle, both parties are happy that the bitter custody battle has finally been resolved.

Hoppy's attorney Bernard Clair said in a statement to PEOPLE, "My client is delighted that this custody battle has been resolved; that his co-parenting status has been acknowledged; that the parties' child will have the benefit of being raised by both parents; and most importantly, that his daughter will no longer be at the mercy of a high-profile courtroom battle."
