Beyonce has bumped Oprah Winfrey off of her No. 1 spot as Forbes’ Most Powerful Celebrity. The “Partition” singer, who is currently touring with her husband Jay Z on their joint On The Run tour, has taken the top spot on Forbes’ newest Celebrity 100 list.
The year 2013 was Beyonce’s most successful year in her career to date, thanks to her massive Mrs. Carter World Tour. She raked in $2.4 million in each city she stopped in, and she stopped at a total of 95 cities.
Forbes estimated Beyonce made $115 million from June 1, 2013 and June 1, 2014 from a combination of her music endeavors, such as her surprise album Beyonce, and endorsement deals with H&M and Pepsi. She has fragrances, a clothing line and all in all, her own empire.
Beyonce beat out her husband, Jay Z, who ranked sixth on the list and made $60 million in 2013.
According to Today, last year’s No. 1 celebrity, Oprah Winfrey, now ranks No. 4.
Taking over the No. 2 spot is LeBron James, who has endorsements with Nike, McDonald's and Coca-Cola in addition to a booming NBA career and Beats co-creator Dr. Dre, who rounds out the top 3 due to his massive deal with Apple.
