Brad Paisley turned to humor as members of the Westboro Baptist Church protested his concert in Kansas on Sunday.
According to E! News, the singer confronted the protesters and took a taunting selfie in front of several of them who were holding hateful hateful signs, most noticeably the woman holding the sign that said, “God Hates Drunks.”
Paisley then tweeted the picture, saying they would play loud so that they can hear them.
Westboro Baptist Selfie!! Or west-Burro(ass) selfie. Hopefully they can hear the show out here. We'll play loud. pic.twitter.com/OrMhJjD8NE

The organization reportedly responded with a tweet saying that if Paisley was in fact mocking them, that at least he was polite. Soon afterward they replaced the comment with one questioning whether Paisley was mocking the church, along with a video of the event posted on their official Twitter.
@GossipCop @1033WAKG Was @BradPaisley REALLY mocking Westboro Baptist Church? It’s hard to say. You decide: http://t.co/rQDMVsY8kd #selfie

The Westboro Baptist Church is described by the Anti-Defamation League as a homophobic, anti semitic hate group based in Kansas. They are known to protest at institutions and people who they feel support homosexuality or what they believe to be God’s law.
Luckily the singer let the selfie do the talking.
