Academy Award nominee,Bradley Cooper, will take his acting to theater this upcoming fall, where he will star as the Elephant Man in Bernard Pomerance's play at the Booth Theatre .

The play is centered around the real life story of Joseph Maverick, who is named John in the production. The man is mistreated and heavily disfigured before he is found and rescued by a surgeon in a freak show during Victorian, London.

According to the Star Ledger, the same cast, including Patricia Clarkson and Alessandro Nivola, will revive the characters they played with Cooper two years ago at the Williamstown Theater Festival.

The actor is notably known for his performances in American Hustle,Silver Linings Playbook and The Hangover, but he has also starred in broadway before. In 2006, Cooper made his debut to Broadway in the play “Three Days of Rain” alongside Julia Roberts.

Tickets will go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m. according to
New York Daily News. General tickets will go on sale June 28. Performances will officially begin in November.
